After another long hard day of looking after my newly bedridden post-surgery mom and my dad (who is quadriplegic with inoperable cancer) with the help of my control freak overbearing, but well meaning aunt, I needed some me time. And tea. I have a killer cold virus. Awesome!
Around 1am my brother got home from work. I called my BFF and we all watched the new Doctor Who. Afterwards I convinced them to play Super Munchkin.
I wanted a board. So I made a quick one and used Fraggle Rock Happy Meal toys from 1988 for our pieces. I called dibs on Gobo in honor of the recently late but forever great Jerry Nelson.
My new to Munchkin BFF did not seem to enjoy it. She tweeted about it but didn’t outwardly say anything. (Except “I hate tabletop games.”) Takes all sorts. My brother was too tired to really care either way and STILL kicked our asses.
I declared myself the child of the Human Torch and She-Hulk (+4 Flames, +8 Radioactive. Weapons: Boomerang and Golf Club.)
Well, I had fun. I needed it.
